Sherniee Estimable. Aug 13, 6 0 4, 0. I bought a couple of small speakers for my PC, However, it has a headphone jack made for a laptop along with a USB plug for power. The speakers seem to work when I plug the headphone jack into the front of my PC, that has a jack for earphones, etc.
However, I use the front jack for earphones when I need them, and I don't wanna keep plugging out my speakers for my earphones. On the back of the PC there are 3 jacks: Red, green and blue. I've tried each jack and it doesn't seem to work, any ideas? ModernWarfare Honorable. Jan 26, 45 0 10, 8. Unolocogringo Distinguished. Sherniee :. Yes, it does not work when I plug it into the rear of the machine. It is a pair of laptop speakers, has a USB plug and a headphone jack.
Have you gone into sound properties and enabled the rear jack as the default sound device? Most video cards and on-board video drivers will set themselves as the default sound device. That way you get sound to the monitor or tv through HDMI. Control Panel. Playback tab. Depending on your sound software it will be listed as "speakers" or your on-board audio device.
Yes, I do have it enabled. I've also noticed that even though there is no sound device connected to the machine, the sound icon in the taskbar is still not crossed out, and I can adjust the volume like there are headphones, etc.
