ISM has eliminated the front two to three inches, or five to eight centimeters, of saddle nose, so the front of the saddle must be set up this much further to the rear. If the saddle is not installed far enough back, it will feel too wide at the front. If you look at a front view, you'll also notice that ISM saddles sit slightly lower within the pelvis, compared to traditional saddles.
Your ISM seat needs to be about five millimeters lower, in order to maintain the same body height. As you can see, although the ISM saddle is further to the rear, and slightly lower than the traditional seat, the rider's position has not changed. ISM saddles simply move the seat to a more optimal location under the rider's body.
